Pocatello, Idaho Electronics Store
A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY
Pocatello Electric was opened in 1902 by Max Schaefer. He sold the business
in the 1930's to Ed Hall.
An early history of the store notes that the store sold Radios, appliances, lighting fixtures and "gave free air and water at the curb"--water for the horses and air for the automoblie tires.
After World War II, Al Vigliaturo, a Navy veteran, went to work for Hall and in 1965, Al bought the business for Ed Hall.
Al brought in his wife Helen and two sons Mike and Steve to make it a true family business. Steve later left the business while Mike stayed on to help his parents with the family business.
Mike Vigliaturo, who did his own stint in the Navy and earned a bachelor's degree at Idaho State University in Business Management and Organization and Marketing, worked for his dad for 15 years before buying the business from him in 1989.
After buying the business he brought in his wife Suzie to continue on with the tradition of the family owned and operated business.
Although Mike has made many changes to the business, it is still a company that you can depend on for a knowledgable, helpful, and friendly staff.
